Deed of Sale

On the fifth of October 1701, the original farm was acquired by Christoffel Groenewald from the governer of “Kaap de Goede Hoop”, Willem Adriaan van der Stel.

In time this portion of land came to be known as “Houd-den-Beck” and “Houd-den-Mond”, and in 1851 the name was officially changed to Bellevue
